So i'm aware this is an Ellen and Portia Fanfiction website but I wanted to try something a little different and after watching the last episode of OITNB season 2 I wanted to carry it on ;). Hope you enjoy :). WARNING SEASON 2 SPOILERS!!!
"Hey Chapman!" I hear Nikki shouting after me. I turn around as she catches up with me.
"Hey"
"Where the fuck you been? Red's looking for you."
"Shit." I say out loud as I remember agreeing to help Red sort out the stockroom Caputo had dumped onto her now the shut down was over. "I completely forgot. I went out for a jog. Shit is she pissed?"
"Nah just wondered where you'd got to. Although i'd get there an help out now. Catch you later." Nikki replies before walking off towards the bathroom. I turn in the opposite direction and head for the stockroom. Things are finally returning back to normal after a week of shutdown. Vee was found dead not far from the prison which I can't say any of the inmates were too displeased about. I hadn't had much to do with her but I know she thought the prison was hers. Rosa is yet to be found but luckily Morello did not get thrown into SHU just a months worth of janitorial duty. As for Alex I haven't heard anything. I'm hoping her probation officer got there before she could do a runner but as ever in this place no one will tell me anything. I've even been to Mr Healy to try and get an update but he accused me of overstepping the 'lesbian mark'.
"Aaaah you decided to turn up then Chapman" Red quips as I enter the stockroom. I laugh before getting to work helping her clear out the shit Caputo has dumped on her. By the time we have finished the bell sounds for lunch so we make our way to the cafeteria and join the back of the queue.
"HEY BITCH!" I hear being shouted from across the other side of the room. I look around to see Black Cindy squaring up to a timid looking newbie in trademark orange. "YOU FUCKING MESSING WITH ME. YOU IS GONNA GET YOUR ASS KICKED"
"INMATE CALM IT!" Bennett shouts from his stance by the wall. I watch as Black Cindy steps back a little before whispering something in the girls ear and sitting down at the table. I continue to grab my food and sit down at my usual table next to Nikki and opposite Morello.
"Hey Chapman, Red." Nikki and Morello acknowledge as we sit down.
"Hows the cupboard looking?" Morello asks.
"Shit." Red replies quickly before tucking into her food.
"That bad huh?" Nikki replies smirking at me before dropping the subject.
"So Chapman" Morello turns to me this time.
"Yeah?"
"Heard who's back in town?"
"No" I reply looking around in confusion at the knowing faces staring back at me.
"Vause. Saw her wandering towards Healy's office earlier."
"Fuck. I bet she hates me."
"Oh don't say that" Morello replies giving my arm a squeeze. I watch as Nikki turns to Morello and gives her a look that has 'what the fuck' written all over it.
"Are you fucking with me? She ratted the girl out."
"Hey hey, I did it for her safety." I interject at this point.
"Sure Chapman if that's what you want to keep telling yourself." Nikki replies smirking at me.
2 hours later...
I leave the girls in the rec room and make my way to the bathroom. As I walk I seriously start to doubt whether the girls were messing with me at tea. I mean surely she would have come into the cafeteria for tea? Unless she went in after we left? However, as I turn into the showers my questions are answered.
"Alex" I whisper as I catch sight of her leaning over the sink looking at herself in the mirror.
"Oh you have to be fucking kidding me." she replies before turning to face me.
"Look i'm sorry when I heard you in danger I couldn't sit back and do nothing-"
"Shut up." Alex interrupts my rant but I know that she needs to hear this.
"I felt helpless Alex. I was stuck in here and you were out-" I am interrupted again but this time by chapped lips meeting my own. I feel the spark of electricity and the quickening of my heart as this woman overtakes my senses once again. I feel her pull away from me as I open my eyes.
"I told you to shut the fuck up" she giggles now cocking her head to the side.
"Wait i'm confused. Don't you hate me?" I ask her. I watch as she pauses to think about it for a moment before leaning against the sink.
"I've got to be honest I did. For the first half an hour at least but then I realised i'd fucked you over much worse and maybe, just maybe you did this to protect me not to fuck me over for once."
"Really?"
"Yeah. You did me a favour kiddo. I've got another 6 months to do but at least now I have time to figure something out." she replies reaching out to pull me into a hug. "I've missed you pipes."
"Me too. I-I love you."
"I love you too." she whispers into my shoulder.
